There are several skills that can be learned through practice, but there are few skills that are truly gods gift. Singing and Music are one such skill that comes as a natural gift and one can get mastery through practice. Most musicians in the history are also noticeable singers. In this post, I am going to talk about astrological combinations to become singer and musician.
Planets concerning the musical ability
Venus: Venus the artistic planet, and it represents singer, musician, composers and creative artists. Since music composing involves creativity, well placed Venus in the horoscope without any affliction is the most important factor for successful composer or singer.
Mercury : Mercury is the planet of intellect, strong Mercury in the horoscope is the key indicator for mastery in any subject.
Moon : Well placed Moon in the chart especially in the sign ruled by Venus or connection with Venus will give euphony voice.
Rahu : Rahu rules western instruments and western music. Well placed Rahu with Venus will give mastery over western music.
Jupiter : Jupiter is the planet of wisdom, music is nothing but form of a spiritual expression. So well placed Jupiter gives spiritual connect through music.
Houses or Bhava concerning the musical ability
3rd house : 3rd house rules throat, artistic planet Venus connected with the 3rd house or 3rd lord is the good indication for the gifted singer and musical ability.
4th house : 4th house rules learning and education, the artistic planet Venus connected with 4th house or 4th lord gives the ability to learn music or musical instrument.
Gemini : The Gemini is the 3rd house in the zodiac. So artistic planet Venus, intellectual planet Mercury connection to sign Gemini produces a famous musician

Gandharva Yoga : When 10th lord occupies Kama Thrikona house(1st, 5th, 9th from 7th house ie: 7th house, 11th house or 3rd house) with Jupiter association and Sun is strongly placed, Moon occupied 9th house then Gandharva yoga is formed. This yoga will make person skillful in fine arts including Music.
Veena Yoga : When all planets spread over 7 signs then Veena yoga is formed. This yoga will make person virtuous and skilled is music and fine arts.
Sangeeta Vidya Yoga : If 2nd lord or 2nd house is connected with 5th house or 5th lord along with Venus then Sangeeta vidya yoga is formed. This will give native skilled in music.
Kalanidhi Yoga : When Jupiter either conjoins or aspects Mercury and Venus in 2nd or 5th house then Kalanidhi yoga is formed. This will person highly skilled and attain great wisdom in many field.

Venus being an artistic planet is the key indicator for a talented singer and musician. Mercury, the planet of intellect connected with Venus or 3rd house will give the ability to become a skilled musician.
